From 10.12.2013 to 23.06.2014 - Deputy Chairman of the Health Committee of the State Civil Service of St. Petersburg. One of the first to go to the Republic of Crimea to participate in the transfer of charitable assistance to healthcare institutions in the city of Simferopol. He was awarded the gratitude of the Governor of St. Petersburg.
From 24.06.2014 to the present - Chief medical officer of the St. Petersburg State Health Institution "Children's City Multidisciplinary Clinical Health Care Center for High Medical Technologies named after K.A. Rauchfus."
He has more than 50 scientific publications.
Under the leadership of Vyacheslav Detkov, reconstruction was completed in 2010, and the grand opening of the K. A. Raukhfus Children's City Hospital took place.
In the summer of 2011, at the initiative of Vyacheslav Yuryevich, the chapel of St. Peter and Paul was opened and consecrated, and on June 1, 2012, the restored icon of the Kazan Mother of God was returned to its historical place.
At the initiative of Vyacheslav Detkov, a museum of the history of the hospital was opened in November 2012. A solemn event on this occasion was attended by the descendants of Prince P.G. Oldenburg.
On May 31, 2016, the first monument in Russia to "doctors who dedicated their lives to saving children" "Tree of Life," created at the initiative of Vyacheslav Detkov, was unveiled on the territory of the hospital. The opening ceremony of the monument was attended by members of the government of St. Petersburg, as well as E.I.V. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. In retribution to the Fatherland Vyacheslav Detkov was elevated to the rank of holder of the imperial and tsarist order of St. Stanislav III degree.
Vyacheslav Detkov was awarded more than once with state and government certificates of acknowledgement and commendations.
